Papad Paneer Pakoda


8-9 Haldiram’s Bikaneri Papad

½ cup grated cottage cheese (paneer)

250 gms cottage cheese

1 tsp red chili powder + sprinkling

½ tsp cumin (jeera) powder

¼ tsp chaat masala

1 tbsp green chutney 

Salt to taste

¾ cup cornflour

Mint-mayonnaise as required

Fresh coriander sprigs for garnishing


  • Take 8-9 Haldiram’s Bikaneri Papad roast it
  • Crush the Haldiram's Bikaneri Papads into a bowl, add ½ cup of grated cottage cheese, salt to taste, 1tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp cumin powder. ¼ tsp chaat masala and mix well
  • Add 1 tbsp green chutney 
  • Take 250 gms cottage cheese (paneer) slice into equal side square portions and make a slit half away through each portion
  • Stuff the Haldiram's Bikaneri Papad mixture into the slit of the cottage cheese (paneer) portions and sprinkle a pinch of salt & chili powder to taste on all portions
  • To make the coating mix ¾ cup of corn flour add water and 1 tsp red chili powder mix well you can add salt to taste.
  • Take the stuffed cottage cheese (paneer) portions dip it into the corn flour mixer and dip it into a bowl of crushed papad. Ensure the portion is coated with the papad on all sides and put into hot oil.
  • Deep fry the portion in hot oil till shallow brown
  • Put in plate served with mint-mayonnaise chutney. You can garnish each portion of paneer with fresh coriander sprigs
